Punjab enforces zero tolerance on exam cheating with enhanced monitoring and disciplinary action after three candidates were caught. Stay informed.

Under the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, provincial authorities have stepped up enforcement of a zero tolerance policy to eliminate exam cheating across the province. The campaign targets systematic improvements in monitoring and strict compliance with examination rules.

Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat have ordered continuous oversight of examination centres, emphasising transparent procedures and immediate action against any malpractice. The focus on preventing exam cheating has been reinforced at every administrative level.

Commissioner and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Educational Board, Engineer Aamir Khattak, has formed specialised monitoring teams and strengthened surveillance using CCTV and modern technology to make supervision more effective. These measures are intended to deter malpractice and preserve the integrity of the examination process.

The Controller of Examinations carried out inspections at multiple centres in Hasan Abdal and Kahuta, including Government Associate College for Women Hasan Abdal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Hasan Abdal, Government Girls High School (Hazara Road) Hasan Abdal, Government Associate College for Boys Hasan Abdal, Government Higher Secondary School for Boys Hasan Abdal, and Government High School Kahuta, Rawalpindi.

During the inspections two candidates were caught cheating at Government Associate College for Women Hasan Abdal and one candidate was caught at Government High School Kahuta, Rawalpindi. Cases were immediately registered and forwarded to the board’s discipline branch for further proceedings, underscoring the administration’s prompt response to exam cheating.

The Controller emphasised that district administration and the educational board are working in full coordination to keep examination arrangements transparent and orderly. The board reiterated its commitment to sustained vigilance and strict action to protect the credibility of examinations.
