Muharram security is tightened across Faisalabad division as officials review SOPs, control rooms and procession arrangements.

Faisalabad Commissioner Ms. Musarrat Jabeen chaired a high-level meeting to assess Muharram security arrangements across the division, with senior civil, police and military officials reviewing the plan for processions and gatherings during the holy month.

The meeting was attended by RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, Pakistan Army Brigadier Yaseen, Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Capt. (R) Nadeem Nasir, CPO Tanveer Hussain and other district officers. The participants discussed coordination between departments to ensure that every procession route and related administrative requirement is managed in an orderly manner.

Ms. Jabeen instructed officials to keep security measures fully active from 7th Muharram until Youm-e-Ashura, maintain close contact with procession organisers and peace committees, and strictly enforce the ban on unauthorised loudspeakers. She also stressed that all control rooms should remain functional at all times and that duty assignments for officers must be clearly defined to avoid any lapse in the Muharram security plan.

RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera emphasised that the security plan should be implemented effectively in accordance with the approved SOPs, while Brigadier Yaseen expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and assured continued support from the Pakistan Army to help the civil administration maintain peace and order.
