Thailands ambassador visits NRTC Haripur for talks on cooperation and technology transfer.

Haripur, 6 July 2026: H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, along with Col. Nikhom Chumpoo, Defense and Military Attaché, visited the National Radio Telecommunication Cooperation (NRTC) in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the visit, they met Brigadier Azmat Shabbir, Managing Director of NRTC, and other executives of the organisation. The discussions focused on transfer of technology and technical capacity-building through trainings, joint research and development to address modern security challenges, and the development and upgrading of Thailand’s telecommunication equipment with NRTC’s technology.

The Ambassador and Defense Attaché were also briefed on NRTC’s missions and taken on a tour of its manufacturing and testing facilities. NRTC said the visit reflected its strong commitment to expand cooperation with Thailand.

NRTC is a federal government organisation under the Ministry of Defense Production, established in 1966 to develop communication equipment and security technologies for the armed forces and law enforcement agencies inside and outside Pakistan.
