RAWALPINDI: President of the Liaquat Road Traders Association, Rawalpindi, Sheikh Abdul Waheed has said that war is never a solution to any problem, as it only fuels regional instability and economic crises.
In an important statement, he said tensions between Iran and the United States had worsened the regional situation, with negative repercussions for the global economy as well as Pakistan.
Sheikh Abdul Waheed expressed concern that inflation had once again surged, while the continuous rise in the prices of essential commodities had placed an unbearable burden on the public.
He said low- and middle-income families were finding it increasingly difficult to afford basic necessities, as soaring prices continued to erode their purchasing power.
He urged the government to take effective and practical measures to control inflation, stabilise food prices and provide immediate relief to the public.
Sheikh Abdul Waheed emphasised that lasting economic stability, regional peace and public prosperity could only be achieved through dialogue, peace and mutual cooperation, not war.
