RAWALPINDI: In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision for a standard, transparent and modern examination system, Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi Professor Dr Iqbal Mahmood paid a detailed visit to the marking centre set up at Government Graduate College, GT Road, Jhelum, for the Intermediate First Annual Examination 2026.
During the visit, the chairman reviewed the process of checking examination papers, the quality of assessment, administrative discipline and overall arrangements. The college principal also briefed him on the marking arrangements.
Speaking to the marking staff, Professor Dr Iqbal Mahmood directed that every examination paper be assessed with complete honesty, impartiality and according to a uniform standard so that each candidate receives results in accordance with his or her actual academic ability and performance.
He said the credibility of the examination system, public trust and the reputation of the institution were linked with quality and fair assessment. He made it clear that negligence, bias or deviation from rules and regulations would not be tolerated.
The chairman further directed all examiners to fully follow the board-approved marking scheme, rules and regulations and professional principles while performing their duties with responsibility, care and honesty.
Professor Dr Iqbal Mahmood reiterated that BISE Rawalpindi would continue its efforts to ensure quality, accountability, transparency and protection of candidates’ legitimate rights at every stage of the examination system, with the aim of further strengthening the credibility of results and public confidence.
