ISLAMABAD: Former senator and Pakistan Peoples Party Workers President Dr Safdar Ali Abbasi and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s political aide Naheed Khan have expressed deep sorrow over the suicide attack and firing at a mosque in Kohat’s old Police Lines during Friday prayers.
In a statement, they extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred police personnel and civilians and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Dr Abbasi and Naheed Khan demanded immediate, concrete and effective action against terrorists, their facilitators and support networks. They also called for the best medical treatment for the injured and financial and practical assistance for the families of the victims.
They said targeting innocent civilians and police personnel was highly condemnable, adding that the sacrifices of security personnel would never be forgotten.
