Rawalpindi Police successfully foiled a major bank robbery attempt worth millions of rupees in the New Town area, apprehending one suspect while the hunt continues for other fleeing accomplices.
According to initial police reports, three armed robbers forcibly entered a bank situated in New Town in Rawalpindi. Acting promptly upon receiving an emergency call at the Police Emergency Helpline 15, a substantial police force swiftly responded to the scene, thwarting the attempted robbery and ensuring the safety of customers and employees present.
During the immediate police intervention, one of the robbers was arrested, while his accomplices managed to flee after spotting law enforcement officers. Authorities are currently engaged in an ongoing pursuit to apprehend the escaped suspects and have intensified efforts in and around the locality.
The City Police Officer (CPO) of Rawalpindi praised the timely response of the police team and reassured the public that Rawalpindi Police remain alert and active around the clock to ensure citizens’ safety and property protection.
