**Romanian Embassy and Foundation University Islamabad Explore Academic Collaboration**

The Embassy of Romania in Pakistan hosted a delegation from Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), paving the way for enhanced academic cooperation and cultural exchange between Romania and Pakistan. The delegation, headed by Rector Major-General (Ret.) Muhammad Kaleem Asif, HI (M), engaged in productive discussions with embassy officials, identifying promising areas for collaboration.

During the meeting, participants explored avenues for joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and shared academic initiatives. Particular appreciation was extended to students from FUI’s Faculty of Arts, whose research and creative work focused on Romania received commendation from embassy representatives.

The dialogue was further enriched by the presence of Zaildar Ahsan Shah, President of the Romania–Pakistan Friendship Association. His involvement underscored the longstanding cultural connections between the two countries and reaffirmed the potential for expanded people-to-people ties.

The Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Dan Stoenescu, supported the initiative, emphasizing the embassy’s commitment to fostering stronger academic and cultural engagement between Romanian and Pakistani institutions.
