The Punjab government has taken a significant step toward improving public health by distributing motorbikes to vaccinators in Lahore District, aiming to ensure timely delivery of vaccines to children across the region. The initiative was marked by a special ceremony attended by senior health officials and government representatives.
The event saw the presence of the Director General Health, Chief Executive Officer Health, and other key officials. Saira Ahmed, Coordinator to the Chief Minister, participated as a distinguished guest, while provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Khawaja Imran Nazir, served as the chief guest.
Speaking at the ceremony, Khawaja Imran Nazir reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing prompt and effective vaccination for every child in Punjab. He stated that the provision of motorbikes would greatly enhance the mobility and efficiency of vaccinators, enabling them to reach remote and underserved areas more effectively.
The distribution of these vehicles follows the directives of Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif. According to Khawaja Imran Nazir, a total of 200 motorbikes have already been distributed among vaccinators across ten districts of Punjab, underscoring the government’s dedication to strengthening the province’s healthcare infrastructure.
