**DSP Muhammad Irfan Butt Appointed Acting Regional Officer of Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region**
The Punjab Highway Patrol’s Rawalpindi Region has announced that DSP Muhammad Irfan Butt has assumed the responsibilities of Acting Regional Officer. He will oversee the region’s operations until a permanent appointment is made.
Under his leadership, the region’s patrolling teams have conducted a series of operations resulting in the arrest of seven proclaimed offenders and five court absconders. Among those apprehended is a Category-A fugitive wanted in connection with serious criminal offences.
In addition to law enforcement activities, the patrolling police continue to carry out road safety awareness programs and relief operations for flood victims across the region. The department reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and community support through these ongoing initiatives.
