Algeria will host Global Africa Tech 2026 from March 28-30, 2026 at the International Conference Center under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, bringing together governments, industry leaders and technology experts from across the continent.
The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, said the event is part of a broader vision to build a digitally unified Africa. He framed the summit around the slogan All Networks, One Convergence, emphasizing integration of terrestrial, satellite and submarine networks to create a modern, secure and sustainable communications system that supports economic growth and digital transformation.
Discussions at Global Africa Tech will focus on expanding terrestrial fiber optic networks to accelerate data flow and improve digital services, launching advanced satellite and air communications initiatives to extend coverage and strengthen digital security, and protecting submarine cables while connecting smart ports to boost digital trade and continental connectivity.
The three-day summit is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants from 45 countries, including around 50 ministers and senior decision-makers alongside global technology companies and sector experts. Organized by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in partnership with Algeria Telecom, the event follows Algeria’s hosting of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair in September 2025 and the 3rd African Startup Conference in December 2025, and precedes the Africa ICT Summit planned for April 21-23, 2026.
By positioning Algeria as a continental platform for partnership, investment, startups and innovation, Global Africa Tech aims to accelerate the rollout of digital infrastructure and create new opportunities for regional collaboration and technological integration across Africa.
