Federal Secretary for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Muhammad Aslam Ghori, visited Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore, to review patient care services and ongoing institutional developments.
During the visit, the federal secretary inspected the Emergency Department, the under-expansion Paediatric Emergency Unit, the Sehat Sahulat Programme Dialysis Centre, the Intensive Care Unit and the Hospital Pharmacy.
He was briefed on the expansion of paediatric emergency services, availability of essential medicines and the quality of healthcare services being provided to patients. The visit also included an assessment of ongoing efforts aimed at improving patient care and strengthening hospital services.
Mr Ghori also interacted with patients and their attendants in different wards to obtain firsthand feedback on the quality of treatment and healthcare facilities. Patients expressed satisfaction with the standard of medical care, the professionalism and compassionate attitude of healthcare staff, and the services being provided at the hospital.
The federal secretary appreciated that both general and private patients were receiving equitable and high-quality healthcare services, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to fairness and excellence in patient care.
He commended the efforts of the hospital administration and healthcare teams, while stressing the need to sustain high standards of quality, ensure timely and effective treatment, and continue improving patient-centred services.
Shaikh Zayed Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe, accessible and high-quality healthcare, and to continuously enhancing its clinical services, infrastructure and patient experience in line with the vision of the Government of Pakistan.
