DUBAI: India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in an important group match of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 after Pakistan were bowled out for just 55 runs, their lowest-ever total in women’s T20 Internationals.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, but their batting line-up failed to cope with the Indian spinners. Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claimed three wickets each, while Deepti Sharma took two wickets.

Shawal Zulfiqar offered the highest resistance for Pakistan with 14 runs. Muneeba made 13, Ayesha Zafar scored 2, Sadia Iqbal 3, Eman Fatima 5, Umm-e-Hani 6 and Tuba Hassan 9. Gull Feroza, Fatima Sana, Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal were dismissed without scoring.

Pakistan’s innings ended at 55 in 18.1 overs as the rest of the batters could not stay long against the Indian bowling attack.

Chasing a target of 56, India also faced early trouble and lost their second wicket at 18. However, Shafali Verma played aggressively to bring her side closer to victory.

Shafali scored 12, Smriti Mandhana made 9 and Pratika Rawal added 4. All three Indian wickets were taken by Fatima Sana. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 18, while Deepti Sharma was not out on 12 as India completed the seven-wicket win.
