In a significant meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Naseem Mandokhail, Pashto literary organization “Naway Jwand” took key decisions regarding its activities and upcoming events. Senior journalist and author Barkwal Mian Khel, affiliated with Voice of America, and writer Nasir Khan Mandokhail participated as special guests, with Barkwal Mian Khel also representing Naway Jwand in the United States.

The session was moderated by Khan Zaib Mehsud and attended by senior office bearers and active members of the organization, including Senior Vice Chairman Raj Marwat, Vice Chairman Bedar Bakht Advocate, Joint Secretary Noor Naib Khattak, Deputy Joint Secretary Tanzeel Yousafzai, Cultural Secretary Azeem Khan Watanyar, Press Secretary Rukhshanda Tasneem, and Office Secretary Hayat Khan Khattak.

Held in a cordial and productive atmosphere, the participants actively presented their suggestions and input, resulting in several important decisions. One of the key resolutions involved removing the Secretary of Finance from his position due to continuous absence from meetings. The individual will, however, remain a member of the organization.

Preparations for Naway Jwand’s upcoming 4th Peace Award event were also discussed extensively. Participants agreed to schedule the event in the first week immediately after Muharram ul Haram. Members were asked to intensify efforts in locating sponsors, setting a firm sponsorship procurement deadline of July 20. It was further decided that Chairman Naseem Mandokhail would share the promotional material and sponsorship strategy with cabinet members within two days.

In addition, the meeting acknowledged the passing away of the sisters of two members—Shireen Yar Yousafzai and Iqbal Hussain Afkar—by offering prayers for the departed souls and expressing condolences to the bereaved families. The next meeting of Naway Jwand has been finalized for July 20.
