P@SHA promotes Pakistan tech at GITEX Global 2025, signing MoUs to boost startups and expand IT exports after a major Dubai showcase.

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) concluded a high-profile presence at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai on October 17, leading a delegation that highlighted Pakistan tech and its export potential. The Pakistan Pavilion brought together more than 100 technology companies and startups to present solutions across software, fintech, digital transformation and enterprise services.

The pavilion was inaugurated by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja alongside P@SHA leadership including Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam. The expanded Pakistani representation coincided with a milestone in the sector as national IT exports reached $3.8 billion in FY25, underscoring growing international demand for Pakistan tech services.

The P@SHA delegation, which included CEC members Sheikh Abdul Qadir and Usman Akbar, engaged in intensive B2B meetings, attended the GITEX Power Summit and met major investors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. These interactions focused on integrating Pakistani solutions into global markets and creating practical pathways for technology partnerships and market access.

P@SHA formalised several Memorandums of Understanding to strengthen cross-border collaboration. An MoU with HUB47 was signed to empower entrepreneurs and open global opportunities, officiated by Usman Akbar for P@SHA and Muhammad Shahbaz Khan of HUB47, with senior P@SHA leaders and PSEB representatives present. This agreement aims to connect Pakistani startups to international ecosystems and accelerate market entry.

Member company CODORA signed two strategic MoUs led by Vice President of Engineering Muhammad Atif Siddiqui, highlighting the capability of domestic firms to form global partnerships. On behalf of P@SHA, Muhammad Umair Nizam also formalised three international collaborations targeting FLEX Global 2026, GITEX Türkiye 2026 and GITEX LATAM 2027, signalling planned engagement in future global events to promote Pakistan tech across regions.

Another MoU between P@SHA member Sybrid and Super Technologies was witnessed by Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Sheikh Abdul Qadir, reinforcing efforts in digital transformation. The delegation also held productive talks with HBL to explore fintech and digital banking collaborations and participated in pre-event networking hosted by Sherdil Cloud.

These initiatives align with Pakistan’s wider digital agenda supported by SIFC, the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Tech Destination Pakistan and PSEB, and are designed to create jobs for youth while scaling IT exports. With the connections and MoUs secured at GITEX Global 2025, P@SHA aims to convert international interest into sustained partnerships and growth for the Pakistani tech ecosystem.
