PEIRA launches SLC Attestation portal to digitize attestation in Islamabad; apply online, track status, and receive attested SLCs without office visits.

On April 1, 2026 the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority introduced an online School Leaving Certificate attestation portal to streamline services for students, parents and private educational institutions across Islamabad.

Before the portal, SLC attestation was handled manually, often causing delays and requiring multiple visits to PEIRA offices. The new system replaces paperwork with a paperless workflow that allows applicants to submit requests online, track application progress in real time, and receive attested certificates without making physical trips to the authority.

Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman ICT-PEIRA, described the move as part of a broader digital reform to increase transparency and ease of doing business for Private Educational Institutions. He noted that the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of technology and helped institutions and citizens adapt to online services.

The portal builds on earlier digital steps by ICT-PEIRA, including online school registration and issuance of e-licenses, and advances the Authority’s goal of a visitor-free service model where compliance and oversight are maintained through efficient digital processes.

PEIRA acknowledged strategic guidance from the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and linked the initiative to national efforts such as Digital Pakistan and Uraan Pakistan. The Authority said the SLC Attestation portal strengthens its digital ecosystem and paves the way for further online services to support private schools and improve education governance in the capital.
