PRA Pakistan Members to Get 20pc Discount at Parliament House Cafeteria

Officials sign an agreement to provide a 20pc discount to PRA Pakistan members at the Parliament House cafeteria.

ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA) Pakistan, the National Assembly Secretariat and the Parliament House cafeteria management have signed a formal agreement to provide a 20 per cent discount on meals to PRA Pakistan members at the Parliament House cafeteria.

A ceremony in this regard was held at Parliament House, where Director General Media National Assembly Zafar Sultan, Joint Secretary (Admin) Jawad Abid, cafeteria management representative Mr Ehtesham and Chairman of PRA Pakistan’s Cafeteria Committee Sohail Khan signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, members of PRA Pakistan will be able to avail the 20 per cent discount on meals at the members’ cafeteria on the basis of their press coverage cards.

Speaking on the occasion, PRA Pakistan President M.B. Soomro, Secretary Naveed Akbar and Cafeteria Committee Chairman Sohail Khan termed the initiative an important development for the welfare of parliamentary journalists.

They thanked the National Assembly Secretariat and the cafeteria management for their cooperation and for taking what they described as a journalist-friendly step.

Members of the PRA Pakistan governing body, Ahmed Nawaz Khan and Asiya Ansar, were also present at the ceremony.
