RAWALPINDI: Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah has said that the Holy Quran is not merely a book for recitation, but a complete source of guidance that must be understood, reflected upon and implemented in daily life.

He expressed these views while addressing a weekly Mehfil-e-Zikr and Dars-e-Quran at Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed. Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim hosted the gathering.

Allama Riaz Hussain Shah said the Quran teaches humility, patience, good character, peace, love and tolerance. He urged people to remain respectful and patient despite differences.

He said the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) teaches knowledge, justice, morality and service to humanity, while the lives of the Ahl al-Bayt and the tragedy of Karbala offer lasting lessons of courage, sacrifice and steadfastness.

He also urged youth and students to understand the Quran and make its teachings part of their character.

The gathering concluded with prayers for the peace and prosperity of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
