A large and well-organized Rawalpindi rally brought together the Rawalpindi Restaurant Caterers, Sweet & Bakers Association, the trader community and the district administration to demonstrate solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces on the first anniversary of Ma’rka-e-Haq. Traders, business figures and representatives of various associations from across the city participated in a show of national unity and respect for the sacrifices of the armed forces.
The event was organized under the banner of the Rawalpindi Restaurant Caterers and was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Maliha Sehr, Deputy Director Environment Rawalpindi Sadia Batool, Senior Vice President Zahid Mehmood, President Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry, Chairman Mumtaz Ahmed and other notable figures. The rally started from Food Street and concluded at Double Road, with participants carrying national flags, banners and placards bearing slogans of patriotism. The atmosphere resonated with chants of Pakistan Zindabad and Long Live the Pakistan Armed Forces.
President Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry said the Pakistan Armed Forces have rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the security, sovereignty and peace of the country, and that the success of Ma’rka-e-Haq reflects national resolve, unity and professional excellence. Chairman Mumtaz Ahmed and other speakers praised the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, noting that under his command the armed forces effectively countered threats and addressed the country’s challenges with determination and professionalism.
Speakers underlined that the trader community is the backbone of the national economy and has always stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces during difficult times. They reiterated that every citizen stands with the courageous forces and that the community will not hesitate to make sacrifices when the nation needs them. Emphasizing the importance of unity for Pakistan’s progress, participants said such gatherings strengthen national cohesion and resolve.
At the conclusion of the Rawalpindi rally special prayers were offered for the security, progress and prosperity of the country. Participants reaffirmed their resolve that there will be no compromise on the defence of the homeland and that national interests will be safeguarded at all levels.
