The Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi, Babar Sarfraz Alpa, held an open court at the regional office where citizens from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree submitted petitions and raised local concerns. The session was organized to provide a direct forum for residents to present police-related complaints and seek timely redress.
RPO Rawalpindi carefully reviewed the petitions and instructed the relevant officers to take action in accordance with the law, directing them to complete required proceedings and submit reports within prescribed timeframes. Each case received individual attention with clear directives for follow up.
Emphasizing the Chief Minister Punjab’s vision, RPO Rawalpindi underlined that the routine holding of open courts is intended to ensure accessible justice for citizens. He stressed that swift resolution of complaints and transparent handling by police are key to maintaining public confidence.
The RPO called on all concerned officers to treat citizen complaints on a priority basis and to enhance public service delivery standards. A spokesperson for the RPO office confirmed that open courts will continue as an ongoing mechanism to guarantee accountability and prompt action on citizens’ petitions.
