Senator Dr. Shehzad Waseem visited the Japanese Embassy in Islamabad and recorded his impressions in the guest book, underscoring the importance of Pakistan Japan relations. As the former Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, he used the visit to highlight the long-standing friendly ties between the two countries and the need to build on them.
During his remarks at the embassy, Dr. Shehzad Waseem said Pakistan highly values the bilateral cordiality and encouraged expanding cooperation in trade, cultural exchanges and social initiatives. He noted that the Pakistani public admires Japan’s development model, organization and work ethic, and that Japanese technology, punctuality, cleanliness and collective discipline are particularly respected in Pakistan.
The senator also observed that Japan is widely seen in Pakistani circles as a respectful friend that refrains from interfering in internal affairs and maintains diplomatic courtesy. He called for continued engagement to deepen Pakistan Japan relations for mutual benefit, especially through increased economic and cultural collaboration.
