On 10 February 2026 a 12-member delegation of students enrolled at a foundation for the care of persons with disabilities carried out a Parliament House visit in Islamabad. The group was warmly received by officials from the Senate Secretariat upon arrival.
The delegation toured the Senate Museum where officials provided detailed briefings on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the framing of the constitution and the stages involved in the legislative process. The students also visited Gali Dastoor to gain insight into constitutional traditions and parliamentary norms.
Later the visitors entered the Senate Hall and were given a comprehensive briefing on the workings of parliament, the role of the Senate, methods of lawmaking and the functions of standing committees. Explanations were tailored to the needs of the group and encouraged active engagement and questions.
Participants expressed strong interest in parliamentary affairs and described the Parliament House visit as highly informative and beneficial, applauding the Senate Secretariat for its arrangements and accessibility. Organisers noted that such visits promote civic awareness and inclusion for students with special needs.
