Previously, YouTube users had to manually search for specific show names or episodes or sift through the countless videos in the Videos section to locate podcasts. With the introduction of the Podcasts tab, The episodes that were previously labeled as podcasts will automatically appear in the Podcasts tab.
However, there is a significant drawback to the new section, as it is only available on the YouTube app and website. Nonetheless, it is expected to be integrated into YouTube Music, and Google is currently testing the feature.
The integration with YouTube Music will enable users to listen to their preferred podcasts, but only if the creators have marked them as podcasts on their channels. To see which series will appear on the platform, users can search for a show and check the appropriate tab. If the episodes are listed, then they will also show up on the music-oriented streaming service.
