BISE Rawalpindi says monitoring and inspections are continuing to ensure transparency and merit in the Matric Second Annual Examination 2026.

RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has said that measures are continuing to ensure transparency, merit and enforcement of examination rules during the Matric Second Annual Examination 2026.

According to a press release issued by the board’s public relations office on October 12, 2026, the steps are being taken in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s educational vision and the special interest of Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

The board said special importance was being given to providing equal opportunities to every candidate in the examination system and preventing cheating.

Under the active leadership, timely decisions and effective supervision of BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood, measures are being taken to maintain discipline at examination centres. Online monitoring of hard and grey examination centres is under way, while mobile inspectors and the chairman squad are also carrying out inspections.

The chairman said no compromise would be made on examination transparency and the protection of merit, adding that action would be taken under rules against those found involved in violations.

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited various examination centres and reviewed examination arrangements, discipline and implementation of the prescribed SOPs.

According to the controller, a candidate bearing roll number 205907 was caught red-handed while cheating at the Government Postgraduate College Attock examination centre. A case has been registered against the candidate and sent to the board office’s discipline branch.

The statement was issued by BISE Rawalpindi spokesperson Arsalan Ali Cheema.
