Accompanied by MPA Ziaullah Shah, he visited several sabeels set up in different parts of the city on Friday and reviewed the arrangements being made for mourners. During the visit, he inspected the facilities on offer and stressed that service to mourners should be treated as a sacred duty, with uninterrupted support provided for processions and congregational gatherings.
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said the administration and concerned departments are working in close coordination to uphold law and order, strengthen brotherhood and promote religious harmony and mutual respect during the observance of Ashura. He noted that special measures have been taken for cleanliness, medical assistance, traffic management, emergency response and other civic services to support participants and residents alike.
He said the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala continue to offer timeless lessons of truth, justice, patience and resistance against oppression, serving as a guiding light for the Ummah. He urged citizens to cooperate with the administration and law enforcement agencies, follow the code of conduct and play their part in promoting peace and tolerance throughout the observance.
