Fistball training in Shah Faisal Town empowers Karachi youth with skills, rules and teamwork in a grassroots camp featuring an exhibition match and awards.

Under the guidance of the Pakistan Fistball Federation, the Sindh Fistball Association and Karachi Division organised a fistball training camp in Shah Faisal Town to promote the game at the grassroots level. Boys and girls from local schools and colleges attended in large numbers to learn about the sport and take part in practical sessions.

Nisar Ahmed, General Secretary of the Sindh Fistball Association, introduced participating youth to the history, basic skills and rules of fistball, while Abdul Manan Saleem, Secretary of the Karachi Division Fistball Association, led coaching on core principles and playing techniques. Other guests including Nasser Iqbal and international athlete Orangzeb Sultan were present to observe and support the activities.

The fistball training focused on hands-on drills covering rules, fitness routines and teamwork, followed by an exhibition match where players put their lessons into practice. The winning side received a trophy and awards were distributed by Orangzeb Sultan along with Nisar Ahmed, Abdul Manan Saleem and Nasser Iqbal.

Orangzeb Sultan urged continued organisation of such awareness and training initiatives, saying Karachi youth possess abundant talent that needs proper platforms and guidance. He noted that consistent grassroots fistball training can help shape future national players who will represent Pakistan on the international stage.

Group photographs were taken with women players and mixed teams as organisers highlighted the importance of inclusive outreach. The camp underlined the Sindh association’s commitment to expanding fistball access and nurturing young athletes across Karachi.
