Officers and staff at the Pakistan High Commission in Nairobi held a farewell ceremony to honour HE High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kenya, Mr. Ibrar Hussain Khan. The gathering brought together diplomatic personnel and members of the Pakistani community to pay tribute to his service.
Speakers at the event included Commercial Counsellor Adeela Younis, Defence Attaché Col Inam Khatak and Shoab Mansoor, Head of Chancellery, each reflecting on different facets of the High Commissioner’s tenure. The head of Pakistan’s community in Kenya also addressed attendees, sharing personal reflections and appreciation for his engagement with expatriates.
Officers and community representatives recounted success stories from his time in office, highlighting advances in diplomacy, strengthened trade ties and defence-related cooperation. Remarks repeatedly referenced how Ibrar Hussain Khan’s leadership contributed to practical outcomes for Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Kenya and support for the diaspora.
The farewell combined formal appreciation with warm personal tributes as colleagues and community members expressed gratitude and best wishes. Attendees noted that the achievements celebrated at the event underscore the importance of continued collaboration between Pakistan and Kenyan partners.
