A grand ceremony in Paris celebrated the fifth anniversary of Pakistan Business Forum France and the first year of Pakistan Business Forum Europe, drawing hundreds of Pakistanis from across France and other European countries along with delegations from twelve European nations. The gathering underscored how the Pakistan Business Forum and the wider overseas community are contributing to stronger trade and economic ties with Pakistan.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan’s Ambassador to France and the event’s chief guest, paid tribute to the Forum’s role and said that Pakistani traders and business professionals in Europe are playing a key part in promoting exports and international trade relations. Her address highlighted the Forum’s five-year record as a dynamic platform for business engagement between Pakistan and European partners.
Sardar Zahoor Iqbal, Chairman of Pakistan Business Forum Europe, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to deepen Europe‑Pakistan trade links and to identify new investment and cooperation opportunities. Mazhar Iqbal Deewana, President of the Forum, noted that European markets hold vast potential for Pakistani entrepreneurs that can be realised through organised, collective efforts.
Founder President Haji Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry reflected on the Forum’s journey, describing the challenges and hard work that have shaped its growth. Yasar Khan, General Secretary, briefed guests on progress toward the upcoming Pakistan European Expo, while Senior Vice President Dr. Hamza Taj outlined investment prospects and encouraged young entrepreneurs to align with modern business requirements.
Renowned analyst Raheeq Abbasi called for unity, sincerity and mutual cooperation to ensure organisational success, and former NADRA Chairman Malik Tariq urged overseas Pakistanis to channel investment back into Pakistan to help strengthen the national economy. Proceedings were conducted by Sahibzada Atiq-ur-Rehman, Chief Coordinator of Pakistan Business Forum Europe.
Salman Aslam, Legal Secretary and organiser of the event, presented a comprehensive review of the Forum’s five-year performance, detailing projects, achievements and future objectives aimed at boosting trade, exports and investment flows. Patron-in-Chief Muhammad Ibrahim Dar thanked delegates, speakers and attendees for their participation.
The event concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting to mark the fifth anniversary of Pakistan Business Forum France and to celebrate the growing role of the overseas community in advancing Pakistan’s economic interests.
