MANSAR SHARIF: The three-day Urs celebrations of Hazrat Kalu Baba Sarcar (RA) are continuing with religious fervour and devotion at Mansar Sharif in Attock district, where a large number of devotees and pilgrims from across the country attended the second day of the annual observance.
The devotees paid their respects at the shrine as various spiritual and religious programmes continued as part of the Urs celebrations.
On the first day of the Urs, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Federal Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Minister of State Daniyal Chaudhry, senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Chaudhry Riaz, custodian of the shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarcar (RA) and Hazrat Kalu Baba Sarcar (RA) Raja Sarfraz Akram, Dr Riaz Shehbaz Janjua, Mohsin Baig, Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Raja Sohail Yousaf, Malik Amin, Naeem Azam Khan, Faisal Khan of Golra, Dr Asif Janjua, Raja Shehzad Janjua, Raja Ayaz Janjua, Syed Israr Hussain Shah Bukhari and Chaudhry Manzoor, among other prominent personalities, visited the shrine.
The distinguished guests laid floral chaddars at the shrine and offered Fateha. Special prayers were also offered for the safety, prosperity, peace and stability of the country and for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
The Urs features gatherings of Hamd and Naat, Mehfil-e-Sama, Zikr-o-Azkar and other religious activities. Traditional Neza Bazi, or tent-pegging, competitions are also being held as part of the celebrations.
During the Hamd and Naat gathering, renowned Naat reciters, including Al-Haj Tasleem Ahmed Sabri, Al-Haj Shahbaz Qamar Sabri, Al-Haj Abdul Razzaq Jami, Muhammad Amir Fayyazi, Mahmood-ul-Hassan Ashrafi, Muhammad Khawar Naqshbandi, Muhammad Bilal Haider, Muhammad Rizwan Khalid and Qari Syed Muzammil Hashmi, among others, enthralled the audience with their performances and added to the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering.
Special security and other arrangements have been made to facilitate the devotees and ensure their safety throughout the Urs celebrations.
