Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Chief Whip of the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, today signed two memorandums of understanding with representatives of Zhongping Technology Co., Ltd. and the World Peace Bottle Forum Organizing Committee aimed at promoting peace, cultural exchange and stronger Pakistan China friendship.
The first agreement sets a framework for cooperation to support the proposed Global 500 Peace Bottle Forum, envisaging joint hosting by standing council member units. The arrangement foresees collaboration on international forums, conferences, exhibitions and seminars, while encouraging investment promotion activities and business networking that link cultural and economic sectors.
The second MoU provides for the donation and installation of the World Peace Bottle monument in Pakistan. The monument is intended as a visible symbol of peace, harmony and intercultural understanding, and organisers say the Peace Bottle will serve as a focal point for people-to-people connectivity and cultural diplomacy across the region.
Senator Mandviwalla welcomed the initiatives as meaningful contributions to global peace efforts and cultural outreach, noting that dialogue, mutual respect and expanded international engagement are essential to address contemporary challenges. He underlined the importance of leveraging such platforms to strengthen Pakistan China friendship and to promote tourism, education and trade ties.
With the Senate finance committee chair leading these agreements, the MoUs also aim to create pathways for economic and social cooperation that can benefit local communities and deepen bilateral relations. The Peace Bottle initiatives are expected to provide opportunities for cultural exchange and investment promotion while reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to international dialogue and harmony.
